The Assyrians, uprooted from their historic home, took shelter in the territory of Russia. There they built their new life and shared all the misfortunes of the local people, and more.
Today, at the dawn of the 21st century, after two world wars, the socialist revolution and the collapse of the Soviet Union, there is a big Assyrian Community living in the different cities and regions of this huge country - Russia. |

| PATHS OF FATE |
In the period between 1914-1918, the Assyrian nation was on the verge of extinction. A number of diseased refugees, suffering from hunger, lost their homes, families, and homeland. They scattered throughout the East and West.
Many refugees found shelter in Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. Some of them joined their compatriots in Tbilisi, another part was afforded shelter in cities and villages of Georgia. Thousands of Assyrian refugees from Hakkiary region of southeast Turkey headed for various cities of Russia, Europe and America, by way of Tiflis. |

Forgotten Page of One Nation |
The film is about the most horrible page in the history of the Assyrian and Armenian people – Genocide committed by the Ottoman Turkey in the beginning of the 20-th century. The film is based on the archive materials and documents, opinions and research materials of different historians.

Today the Syrian Arab Republic is a unique country where a lot of peoples and tribes left their traces. In the Middle Ages, this territory was called Asorik in the Armenian sources. Christian culture, the school of the Middle Ages and education developed here.
After tragic events of 1933 in the North of Iraq after massacres of the Assyrian villages, Assyrian refugees move to Syria. They start building a new life in the region of Al-Khasaka.

The film is about the history of Assyrian settlement of the territory of the Eastern Armenia, about the Assyrian Association of Armenia, Assyrians of Armenia in the present time.
Assyrians settled in Armenia after the Russian-Persian War of 1826-1828 in the villages of Qoyalsar (Dmitrovo), Doogoon, Gol-Aisor and later Arzni and Shakhriyar.
